Nicolas Luchsinger’s interests in art, jewelry, and antiques led him to spend 10 years with Christie’s in New York. First in the public relations department, he quickly moved up and became Vice President and Senior Jewelry Specialist, where he was involved in sourcing and appraisals. Nicolas Luchsinger made his debut in the Richemont Group in 2006 when he joined Van Cleef & Arpels Americas. During his four-year tenure as Director of the New York Fifth Avenue boutique, he initiated the Heritage Collection, an innovative way to offer vintage Van Cleef & Arpels pieces to clients. Nicolas Luchsinger was then promoted to Vice-President of Retail for the Americas, overseeing the Maison’s boutiques within the United States and Brazil. He then advanced to become the International Retail Director, to drive the Maison’s overall corporate strategy for retail operations globally, based between Paris and Geneva. On September 1st, 2018, Nicolas Luchsinger was appointed President of Van Cleef & Arpels, Asia Pacific. Starting from April 2nd, 2024, he is Chief Executive Officer at Buccellati Holding Italia SpA. A multi-lingual native of Switzerland, he holds a Master’s degree in Law, was a Captain in the Swiss army, and is devoted to several philanthropic associations. His extensive field expertise has given him many opportunities to lead lectures and seminars, sharing his passion and knowledge.
